Jewelry, Textile

2025-01

Girlmess is a series (in the works) which explores the tension between societal expectations of feminine order and the cyclical mess of daily existence. Feminine chaos is both feared and cherished—hidden away in purses, stuffed into drawers and private spaces, yet essential and alive. When seen just as a force to be managed or hidden, a vital part of identity is lost. This project reclaims disorder, the mess becomes as alive and beautiful as its origins. The design process focuses on the interplay between disarray and function, using the chaos from tangled chains and discarded jewelry as a textile to create bags and accessories that resist conventional structure with inherent beauty. Both an object and an idea, Girlmess challenges the impulse to conceal, making chaos a visible, wearable truth.
