03Convertible Clutch

Photography, Styling

2024-05

A photo/styling series, this project explores how we engage with familiar objects when recontextualized through fashion. With fashion constantly in flux, the tension between practicality and novelty grows—workwear brands like Carhartt have become commodities, detached from their original blue-collar function. This concept takes an inverted approach: instead of stripping utility from functional garments, it transforms inherently functional objects into fashion accessories. By redefining what we carry, Convertible clutch examines how meaning is assigned—and reassigned—to everyday items, a playful reconsideration of material culture.
